Announcing a New Collaboration with Brigham Young University to Advance Trust Amid Deep Differences
We’re pleased to announce that the Foundation for Religious Diplomacy has begun a new collaboration with Brigham Young University’s Social Science and AI Lab (SAIL) to develop the Rivaltrust Builder—an AI-guided formation experience designed to prepare people for meaningful engagement across deep and enduring disagreements.
At a time when many people experience others with different convictions as threatening, FRD is focused on a different question:
Can people build enough trust to sustain cooperation even when they continue to disagree about what matters most?
The Rivaltrust Builder is designed to help individuals:
Reflect on the experiences that shaped their convictions
Engage differing perspectives with honesty and courage
Prepare for real-world conversations marked by tension, not avoidance
This work builds on FRD’s long-standing practice of Heart & Mind Conversations, now translated into a scalable, research-backed digital format.
Development is underway, and we will soon begin inviting participants into early pilot experiences.
If you are interested in participating in future cohorts or learning more, we invite you to stay connected.
